Course Details
The Express face to face course is a shorter duration and focuses on practical assessments only.
The face-to-face session generally does not include preparation for practical assessments, as students are expected to attend the course with a level of practical experience to undertake the assessments. Students are expected to have completed a first aid course in the past, and regularly complete workplace training, or a role within a first aid capacity, where the practice of hands on first aid skills take place.
Course delivery
This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Course duration
For the express course – Face to Face minimum duration is 90 minutes for first aid and CPR.

Pre-requisites
There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Entry requirements
Learners undertaking the express course must have previously completed the HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
Learners will be required to provide a copy of their expiring Statement of Attainment on the day of their face-to-face course.
Training requirements
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and a range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment requirements
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and a practical assessment of CPR techniques. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment.
Course renewal requirements
The statement of attainment is valid for 12 months and should be updated annually.
