A & B First Aid Training offers a nationally recognised HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course designed to be fast, easy, and fun. This comprehensive course equips individuals with the skills and confidence to respond to complex emergency situations both in the workplace and everyday life.

Express Training (Online + In-Class)
Short on time? This option is perfect for experienced learners confident with their first aid skills. Complete your online theory at your own pace, then attend a shorter in-class session focused on hands-on practice and CPR assessment.

Regular First Aid Training (Online + In-Class)
This course gives learners plenty of time to practise and build confidence with their skills in class, making it perfect for those who enjoy a more relaxed learning environment.
You’ll complete your theory online, then attend a comprehensive 3 hour practical session (max class size apply) with trainer support and demonstrations.
Online pre-study: 3 hours (self-paced)
In-Class Paper-Based Assessment Option (Assessment + Practical In-Class)
If you prefer to complete your assessments in class using paper-based formats instead of online, this option is available.
It’s an alternative assessment method designed for learners who:
- Prefer paper-based assessments
- 2hrs Practical session in class
- Have limited or no internet access
- Require in-class support to complete their assessments
Please note this is not an all-day class but a short in-class assessment and practical session.

The following nationally recognised units are included in your certificate:
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Entry Requirements
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform practical demonstrations, including 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
Pre-course Study: Depending on your delivery mode, online pre-course learning may be required before attending the practical session.
Online Study: Access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet with an internet connection is required to complete pre-course materials.
Assessment Requirements
Participants must complete written and practical assessments to demonstrate competency.
Assessment Activities include:
- Performing CPR on an adult, including the use of an AED and placing a casualty in the recovery position
- Completing a First Aid incident report form based on a simulated scenario
- Theory assessment covering key topics such as:
- CPR & Defibrillator use
- Basic Emergency Life Support
- Fractures and dislocations
- Burns and scalds
- Head, chest, and spinal injuries
- Fainting and unconsciousness
- Bandaging techniques
- Choking
- Asthma & Anaphylaxis
- Poisoning, bites, and stings, and more
Certificate Renewal
The HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate is valid for 3 years from the completion date.
It is recommended to refresh every 3 years to maintain compliance and keep your skills up to date.
